The idea for Bead Barrettes® came after my daughter's daycare stopped allowing traditional hair beads. Just days earlier, they had nearly called 911 when a loose bead became lodged in her nose. Coincidence? Probably not. LOL!
As a mom, I knew there had to be a better way to get the look of beads—without all those loose pieces. And that problem sparked the idea for Bead Barrettes®.

Hi! I'm Jen Zachery, Founder & CEO of Bead Barrettes®.
The idea for Bead Barrettes® began when my daughter, Kyndal, was a little girl and I found myself looking for a better way to give her the look of beads without all the loose pieces. As a mom—and with a background as a retail hair-accessory buyer—I knew there had to be a better solution.
What started as a mom trying to solve a problem eventually became Bead Barrettes®, sold in more than 450 retail locations across the U.S.
Then life happened. I stepped away from the business to focus on my family and other priorities, and Bead Barrettes® remained mostly dormant for many years.
More than 15 years later—and now in my 50s—I felt God calling me back to the vision He gave me all those years ago. So I left Corporate America and began rebuilding Bead Barrettes® for a new generation of girls and moms.
This relaunch is about more than hair accessories for me. It's a reminder that it's never too late to pick up what God placed in your hands.

Giving back has always been part of my vision for Bead Barrettes®. As we begin this new chapter, I'm taking the time to thoughtfully determine where our support can make a meaningful difference.
Rather than make a commitment simply for the sake of having one, I want our giving to be intentional, sustainable and connected to causes we genuinely care about.
